Oil cleansing method

Place 5 drops of oil on your palms, gently massage into your face and neck. With a warm, damp cloth wipe away makeup in an upward, circular motion for freshly cleansed skin. Follow with toner and moisturise as below.

Oil moisturising method

Place 3 drops of oil on the tips of your fingers, dab onto the face and gently massage in an upward, circular motion. Use morning and night after cleansing and toning to nourish your skin. Our beautiful natural oil will soak itself in.

MORNING ROUTINE

Emulsifying Oil Cleanser: Start with our gentle emulsifying oil cleanser to remove impurities and prepare your skin.

• As this is a concentrated natural oil, it will cleanse your skin without stripping it of its natural oils or disturbing your skin's natural pH levels. (You want to hold on to all that natural goodness!)
• It is perfect for freshening up your face first thing in the morning & preparing it for the day ahead.
• Some people prefer to wash their face with water in the morning and save the cleanser for the evening to wash off the day and makeup, that’s fine too!
• It makes the perfect body soap replacement for those with really sensitive skin. Simply pump a few drops onto wet hands in the shower for targeted cleansing where it’s needed most.
• It's a luxurious, silky oil lubricant perfect for shaving. Whether you're shaving your legs or face, it provides gentle protection without the need for harsh chemicals.

Gel Toner: Apply the gel toner to balance your skin’s pH, tighten pores and refresh your skin.

Day Crème: Apply the day crème to moisturise and protect your skin throughout the day.

• Our active formula is packed with scientifically researched skin-brightening botanicals and the innovative OceanDerMX® Balance&Brighten complex. 
• This lightweight crème, enriched with New Zealand native Red Seaweed, Gotu Kola, Liquorice Root, and Mamaku/Black Fern, is rich in Vitamin C, working to visibly enhance your skin's vitality and glow.
• Ideal for oily skin, this day cream has received rave reviews for keeping shine at bay throughout the day. If you have drier skin like some of our team, you might find it needs a bit more hydration. We personally love pairing it with our face oil when applying makeup or BB creams.

EVENING ROUTINE

Emulsifying Oil Cleanser: Begin by cleansing to remove makeup, dirt, and oil accumulated during the day.

Gel Toner: Apply the gel toner to refresh and tone your skin.

Serum: Use the serum to deliver concentrated active ingredients deep into your skin.

Night Crème: Apply the night crème to nourish and repair your skin while you sleep. (We often receive reviews raving about how the gorgeous lavender essential oil not only soothes the skin but also helps people drift off into a peaceful sleep).

Face Oil:  End with the face oil for an extra layer of hydration and to lock in all the goodness from the previous steps.

Each product in our range is formulated with its own unique actives, so be sure to consider your specific skin concerns and choose the products that are right for you. 

Hark & Zander HempTonic Face Oil is 100% natural. We don’t add a single synthetic ingredient to preserve it which means no nasties go on your skin. This in turn means the shelf life for HempTonic Face Oil is three years from production. 

Once opened, HempTonic Face Oil will last for three to six months. But we think you’ll love it so much as your primary skincare solution that you’ll go through it much faster. If you use it morning and night as your cleanser and moisturiser, you’ll be replenishing your supply monthly.

Our formulations are crafted with gentle, natural ingredients designed to nourish and protect your skin. Plus, we don’t use fillers, toxic additives, artificial colours, artificial fragrances, or synthetic preservatives. No nasties for you or baby! 

We find that many of our customers especially love using our body oil during and after pregnancy to help prevent and repair stretch marks.

How long this then takes to reach you is in the hands of Australian customs and postal service so unfortunately we can’t provide timeframes for delivery as these have varied substantially in our experience. For our US customers:We dispatch orders every weekday and send your H&Z with New Zealand post.  How long this then takes to reach you is in the hands of US customs and postal service so unfortunately we can’t provide timeframes for delivery as these have varied substantially in our experience. Yes! We want you to buy with confidence and be satisfied with your Hark & Zander purchase. We are so confident you'll love your H&Z that if you're unhappy with your order we'll give you a refund for a full 30 days after purchase (maximum 20% usage of the product). (New Zealand customers only).

There are a few things to note:

-Email us first at hello@harkandzander.com and send us some before and after photos so we can understand your concerns.

-The refund does not include the cost of shipping. Additionally, shipping the item back to us in Auckland is your responsibility.

-One refund per product.

We genuinely want to know if things go wrong, so please tell us so we can do our best to fix it. We can also exchange your product (instead of a refund) for one that better fits your needs!

Yes! We have gone to great lengths to ensure our environmental footprint is as small as we can make it. 

a. Product containers

We use glass and aluminium wherever possible to avoid all the plastic we possibly can. If you live in an area that sorts its glass, the blue glass gets recycled with the green. On the rare occasion if we have had to use plastic because there hasn’t been a viable alternative we make sure it can be recycled and only use one sort of plastic (no mixed plastics) to help with this. We’ve even gone so far as to ensure the label is made from natural fibres consciously avoiding synthetic, non-biodegradable, (cheaper) options.

b. Product boxes

We have created our beautiful boxes with FSC certified sustainably sourced carboard that is 100% recyclable. We have even gone so far as to insist on an adhesive-free box to make recycling easier. We affectionately call it our origami box and we love it!

c. Delivery retail boxes

This part of the process is invisible to end customers. When products are bottled and boxed they are usually shrink wrapped in a generous amount of plastic to make them ready for dispatch. We sourced a different solution and chose to pack our Hark & Zander products in brown shipping boxes instead. 

d. Courier satchels

We only use 100% recyclable or home compostable bags.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just the packaging. We are also fully NZ owned and operated, we are committed to supporting other local businesses, we use 100% natural ingredients, and we are cruelty free.

HempTonic Face Oil will sooth, replenish and restore your skin. It is made for all skin types and here’s why:

a. It won’t clog your pores as the ingredients in the face oil are low on the Comedogenic Scale. Our biggest ingredient is, of course, hempseed oil which is a 0 out of 4 on the Comedogenic Scale placing in it the lowest (best) category for the skin. In comparison, coconut oil is a 4 and is therefore more likely to clog your pores.

b. Each ingredient has been carefully selected to rejuvenate skin while protecting sensitive and blemish-prone skin. It’s the blend of ingredients that make HempTonic truly sublime for your skin.

c. It’s made with calming ingredients to sooth the skin and reduce redness.

d. It’s packed with antioxidants, fatty acids - omega-3, -6 and -9 and vitamins like E & C.

e. Squalane was added for its anti-aging benefits and to detoxify the skin. It’s a lipid we produce naturally but our production of it reduces with age - this is your booster!

f. Our ingredients are 100% naturally sourced and scientifically proven. We don't use fillers or artificial fragrances, colours or preservatives... NO NASTIES HERE!
